Sahih Al-Bukhari - En omfattande bok om hadith
"Sahih Al-Bukhari" eller "صحيح البخاري" är en av de mest kända böckerna om hadith bland muslimer som följer den sunnitiska traditionen. Den sammanställdes av Imam Muhammad ibn Ismail Al-Bukhari under en period av sexton år. Boken innehåller ett urval av hadither från en samling på sexhundra tusen, vilket gör den till en mycket ansedd källa för autentiska berättelser om livet och läran från Profeten Muhammad (fred vare med honom).
Considered one of the six major collections of hadith, "Sahih Al-Bukhari" holds a significant position among the Sunni scholars. It is the first book to be compiled solely based on the criteria of authenticity and is considered by many as the most authentic book after the Quran. Covering various aspects of faith, jurisprudence, interpretation, history, asceticism, and etiquette, the book serves as a comprehensive guide for Muslims.
Imam Al-Bukhari's dedication to compiling this book is evident from the fact that he personally heard the narrations from more than seventy thousand individuals. The popularity of "Sahih Al-Bukhari" has only grown with time, leading to numerous commentaries, abridgements, annotations, and supplementary works by scholars, making it a cornerstone of hadith sciences. It is said that the number of commentaries alone exceeds eighty-two.
